Inspiration
Cathleen Jia “Wild Romance”
Loved for her free-flowing gowns and intricate embellishments, Cathleen Jia’s latest collection, “Wild Romance” has us swooning.
Drawing inspiration from early to mid century eras, the Melbourne-based bridal designer creates timeless pieces in-house with a young team of fashion and fabric specialists. Transforming fabrics in their raw form to distinct vintage styles, modern elements are introduced through draping, fabric manipulation and non traditional detail applications.
“Wild Romance” sees the introduction of on-trend bridal separates and demure details like cuffed sleeves and high necklines. With its shoulder-baring sleeves, the pairing of the Harmony lace jacket and Cecilia silk gown has totally won our hearts!
Teaming up with photographer Jessica Abby, this whimsical campaign played out in the dreamy lavender fields of Daylesford’s stunning Sault Restaurant.
