Vanessa & Matt’s Low Key Garden Wedding

Who needs dating sites when you’ve got Flatmate Finder! Vanessa and Matt met through the online housemate hub and hit it off, giving in to temptation within a month of living under the same roof. A fairytale proposal by the Eiffel Tower ensued and the pair made it official in the gardens of Avenel’s Bank Street, with Glass Slipper Photography behind the lens.

Keeping things casual was Vanessa and Matt’s main motive so the Bank Street Gardens, with their overgrown charm couldn’t have been more perfect. A steady supply of wood-fired pizzas added to the venue’s relaxed vibe and made these newlyweds and their guests feel right at home.

Quite the creative and a graphic designer by trade, Matthew DIY’d the invitations and A-Frame sign, along with the clever menus that doubled as place cards. With the majority of styling and decorations handled by Bank Street, blooms were the only addition that these sweeties had to sort out so they called in Fowlers Flowers for the bouquets, buttonhole and even the brides headpiece.

Vanessa is living proof that a bride can look just as lovely in a dress off the rack, and a tea length Zimmerman eyelet lace dress with delicate cut outs had her looking lovely. In homage to tradition, both the bride and groom donned something blue – Vanessa wore electric blue python print pumps she designed via Shoes of Prey, while Matthew paired his Country Road suit, sans tie, with electric blue laces. A match made in heaven!
