We are officially impressed with Dylan and Jess. Not only did these darlings DIY most of the details for their Winchester Park wedding, they managed to stay cool and calm the entire time!
Brown Paper Parcel was recruited to capture the relaxed countryside affair and these laidback lovers are living proof that a wedding can run smoothly sans stress (the only hitch they encountered was a chilly half hour walk home post-wedding, when the bus they hired dropped them at the wrong street…)
Jess was the mastermind behind the rustically styled reception and we reckon this cosmetics merchandiser might just be in the wrong industry! “We didn’t want to take away from the stunning backdrop of the venue and wanted to keep the vibe relaxed.” She tells us.
Adorned with proteas, delicate roses and greenery courtesy of Cecilia Fox, this stunning arbour made the perfect place to say I do.
Finding ‘the dress’ can be a stressful experience, but this laidback bride found her feminine tea-length number online at Retro Bride and was sold the minute she tried it on. “It was the only dress I tried and it was exactly what I was looking for.” Paired with some chunky Gorman heels and a deep red lip, we’re definitely digging Jess’ style.
The team at Heartwood Hire helped Jess and Dylan’s vision come to life, providing rustic furniture and props, including this utterly charming horse-cart bar.
In keeping with the farmhouse theme, Kyneton based foodie-haven, Monsieur Pierre dished up a fabulously rustic feast - those salads have our mouths watering!
Judging by Jess and Dylans wedding, the key to a stress-free day is to keep things simple - a small bridal party (one person per bride and groom) was a good start!
Winchester Park, a private property in Tylden owned by a friend of the family made for a gorgeously rustic backdrop and one that didn’t need a whole lotta decorating - save for some raw wooden textures and greenery.
This duo decided to ditch the bridal waltz in favour of a d-floor dance off to ‘Ice Ice Baby – “So much more us and SO FUN!” Jess shares.
What a totally stunning wedding
Hi Hannah,
Do you know if the couple’s friend ever hire out the barn located on their private property? It’s just wonderful.
Hi Sumari. Sadly I don’t think they do. Oh, to have a family farm like this!
