Kate & Blake’s Three Day Wed Fest

Childhood sweethearts Kate and Blake celebrated their long-awaited nuptials in spectacular style, with a three day festival wedding at the groom’s family farm in Capertee Valley, NSW.
With a “country cocktail” dress code and tipi style marquees covered in fairylights from KataLane, this couple certainly brought a bit of glam to the rustic setting, and Jason Corroto was on hand to capture all the festivities.
Kate says there was no hesitation when it came to choosing a wedding venue. “I always wanted to get married on Blake’s parents farm. It’s a special place to us as we’ve spent many years together and with friends and family there. I didn’t even look at any wedding venues and pushed to make the DIY wedding work (as difficult and time consuming as it was!). I wanted it to be a 3-day festival rather than just 4 hours in a venue.”
The couple were lucky to have some stellar vendors on board who put in extra effort to make their wedding day special – Band/DJ Fiesta played til 3am and stayed the night in a tent, Jason Corrotto put in overtime, and Relish Catering who the couple say were “exceptional” travelled 6 hours to the venue! Kate and Blake also had plenty of assistance throughout the planning process from Dave from KataLane who they say was “an absolute legend”.
The festival format allowed plenty of opportunity for celebration after the wedding itself. The next day guests were treated to recovery Bloody Marys, bacon and egg rolls, a surprise helicopter ride, bottles of Veuve and an afternoon of live music. Kate recalls, “Everyone dressed up and got into the spirit of the festival (face glitter and all) and partied for another night under the stars next to a huge bonfire.”
