After making the move from Perth to Melbourne, Jessica and Antony gathered far flung friends and family at St Kilda’s iconic Prince Hotel to see for themselves just why they’d fallen for city. Sabine Legrand was behind the lens for their modern and stylish affair.
When it came to the styling, Jess enlisted the help of The Eventurer, who pulled her vision of ‘black and white with pops of colour’ together. The bride shares, “I told myself I could do it, but there was no way I could have created what the team did with our budget. It became apparent that steph’s ingenuity, knowledge and relationships with suppliers meant she got value for money and an outcome I couldn’t have. Importantly, Steph’s help meant we were free to enjoy the lead up as a couple without the usual wedding planning stress and relax on the day.”
They said their vows on the deck of The Prince Hotel, under a custom brass arbour adorned with bright fuchsia and blush blooms by Tillda Flowers. With many of their family and friends travelling far and wide, it was a priority that both the ceremony and reception could be at the same venue. “We didn’t want a whole lot of out-of-towners wandering around Melbourne on google maps trying to find the next location. They had already travelled so far to be there so we wanted them to settle in.” Guests were treated to a four-course dinner at Prince Dining Room before hitting the doughnut wall and the dance floor, with bangin tunes from One More Song.
