Victtoria and Dave’s Chilled Tipi Wedding
“It was the perfect setting!” Dave says of his engagement to Victtoria atop the beautiful Mount Mannlichen in Switzerland. And after setting the bar so high with his unique proposal (2,343 metres high to be exact), Dave and Victtoria set about planning a wedding day as unique as the two of them.
Enter one garland festooned tipi from Tipikata and DIY touches that would make an Etsy blogger weep with jealousy, and you have some idea of the memorable day they created with their friends and family.
The bride and groom were married at the beautiful Allenvale Cottages in Lorne, under a flower-adorned wooden arch built by a friend. The bride wore a vintage-inspired lace dress by Anna Campbell, while the groom and his men were styled by Briggins and aided by Youtube’s how-to-tie-a-tie tutorials.
Vows shared, best mates married and it was time to get the party started. After photos on a giant trampoline with quirky lenswoman LJM Photography (and a few bridal party injuries) came some fun in the Dina Studio photo booth and some serious dance floor action, courtesy of RSQUARED². Guests wined and dined under the tipi chandelier as an unexpected storm hit outside and ACC Catering were good enough to help taxi guests under umbrellas to the bar/food area.
Victtoria and Dave reflect happily on their big day and said that they were glad they did it their way. “We are both extremely laid back and we wanted that to be reflected on the day, which I think we achieved. I loved what we created, it was warm, fun and happy.”
