Nostalgic Inspiration at The Guildford Hotel
Years living in Guildford exposed photographer Anthea Auld to the hidden gems in this historic West Coast city and recently she brought her ‘antique-flavoured’ vision to life with a styled shoot at The Guildford Hotel.
“The town has marvellously maintained its old-worldly feel and it’s almost as if you can feel its soul as you walk through the streets.” Shares Anthea. The nostalgia is also tangible in her gorgeous images, as well as the film captured by Chapman Films, with a modern bride and groom against the beautiful walls of this restored 19th century building,
A long-sleeved lace Samantha Wynne gown lends a classic, feminine feel to the bride’s style and the groom is stylishly decked out by Tony Barlow Menswear. Touched By Angels were responsible for the beautiful blooms and styling, while Elicia Rudd created a soft, braided updo and subtle makeup.
Anthea also took the shoot to the perfectly preserved 19th century Taylor’s Cottage and the impeccably manicured gardens in Stirling Square, showing a little more of the picturesque locations that Guildford is home to.
