Pieta and Ryan’s love story is nothing less than magical. They met ten years ago through the shared love of bodybuilding and then moved to Melbourne together to create new memories. For their wedding, they opted for a fabulous Territorian-style event to celebrate the beginning of their new lives. This Melbourne couple tied the knot in the breathtaking setting of Pee Wees at the Point. The beautiful venue is nestled in the heart of Darwin and offers gorgeous views of Fannie Bay and the Northern Territory. Their big day embodied love, charm, and a modern laidback style. Beach St Photography shares all the beautiful, candid, and heart-warming moments from Pieta and Ryan’s summer union.

The couple wanted their special day to be laidback, relaxed, and full of fun. Luckily, all the details were taken care of seamlessly through the visionary event management plan of Pieta Pagel. Her deep love for styling and organising events made her coordinate Pieta and Ryan’s big day all by herself. Amazing, right? The final result resonated very well with the couple’s dream aesthetics – chic and stylish with a dash of minimalistic Territorian theme!

Outfit Details

The bride opted for a stunning pearl white gown from Karen Willis Holmes and paired it up with Gucci heels for a chic yet effortless look. She also accessorised her bridal attire with a papally pearl necklace, freshwater pearl earrings from Etsy, and a bag by Poppy Lissiman to complete the look. The accessories and modern flair of the dress worked perfectly well with the minimalistic Territorian theme. The groom, Ryan, wore a bespoke black tuxedo from Carbone Master Tailors along with customised cufflinks. The suit exhibited phenomenal elegance. The couple asked all guests to dress in neutral, black, white, and brown tones to match the wedding aesthetics.

Hair & Makeup

The Comb Culture nailed the hair game! The soft beachy waves that elegantly fell on Pieta’s shoulders successfully elevated the entire bridal look. “Ange and her team at Comb Culture were absolutely fantastic. We did the trial just days before the wedding and our whole bridal party had their hair completed in under 2.5 hours!” says Pieta.

For makeup, A little Anxious Club were picked as the ultimate choice. The team gave Pieta a subtle makeup glow, which made her appearance gorgeous.

The snaps taken by Beach St photography are enough to take your breath away. From start to end, Jesse covered all the important, special, and chic details of the day beautifully. She outdid herself with all the bridal pictures she took!

Pieta and Ryan had an incredible experience working with her. “Jesse is a phenomenal photographer and working with her was incredible. From the moment we reached out to her from Melbourne to organise the services she balanced incredible professionalism and warmth perfectly”- wholeheartedly shared Pieta.

The photographer provided us with all the details of the big day by capturing the minimalist Territorian vibes and the love between Pieta and Ryan perfectly.

Chic Darwin Ceremony and Reception

Pieta and Ryan opted for a chic ceremony in the breathtaking surrounding of the Northern Territory. The couple chose to exchange their vows in the presence of their loved ones at Pee Wee’s at the Point venue. The intimate ceremony featured all the elements of love, happiness, and sophistication.

When we decided to get married back at home, in the NT, Pee Wee’s at the Point was our first choice. Not only are the views breathtaking, but the food is also amazing. We wanted to share our day with an intimate group of family and friends from all areas of our lives together”, shares Pieta. They wrote our own vows, and the celebrant, Amanda from Married by Moo, crafted a special, engaging, and fun ceremony. There were around 70 guests that attended their event, and according to the couple, the ceremony was definitely their favourite part of the day.

The décor is the MOST important part of any festive celebration, and Beija Flor did an outstanding job while designing the floristry. Everything matched the theme perfectly! We love how the bridal bouquet complements the big day’s aesthetics! Henne Parap Market made beautiful table decorations with the help of the bridesmaid Jenni Payne.

We wanted an intimate dinner party that captured our lives in Melbourne and our lives in Darwin, and we wanted to be relaxed and enjoy every moment”, says the couple.

The beautiful day ended with the couple having the most fun and memorable dance party in the presence of their nearest and dearest. The guests all danced their hearts out on the beat. All in all, everything about this intimate, chic, and minimalist Northern Territory wedding is absolutely iconic!
