Melissa & Kareim’s Clare Valley Wedding Weekender
The best cure for a hangover? A proposal certainly did the trick for Melissa. With spectacular views of Tassie’s Wine Glass Bay, Kareim popped the question after a 3 hour hike when a dishevelled Melissa refused to go another step. “It took me a second to realise what was happening’” Melissa shares. “Needless to say, my energy levels perked back up and my hangover disappeared!”
When it came to planning their wedding, Melissa and Kareim kept things pretty relaxed, opting for a picnic-style garden party at a friend’s Clare Valley property. The wedding day itself was flanked either side by other get-togethers, and with nearly 200 guests (many from far flung spots) onsite camping was definitely a bonus. Most importantly, as Melissa tells us “we didn’t have any time restrictions for the reception, which meant we could party that little bit later!”
Choosing a team to capture their day wasn’t a decision these two made lightly. She Takes Pictures He Makes Films were entrusted with the task and the newlyweds tell us their expectations were high. “Our film and photographs were something we didn’t want to compromise on, and were truly in awe with the results. Lucy and Alistair captured the ambiance, joy and feel of the day perfectly. We cannot recommend them enough!”
