Megan & Casey’s Chilled Barn Wedding
After securing the beautifully rustic Coronation Hall for their reception, Megan and Casey went exploring to a nearby private property, where they asked the owners if they could host their wedding ceremony. With Roy Byrne behind the lens, the Brisbane couple pulled off a quirky and colourful party, on the day of their anniversary no less. Not a bad way to celebrate 11 years together!
Everything about this wedding was meaningfully planned and executed, from the poem written and read by one of their mates, to the ceremony itself (aside from the legal parts) being run by another dear friend. “We didn’t do a rehearsal as we wanted to hear everything for the first time on the day.” Megan shares. “It was amazing, emotional and so meaningful, I get goosebumps thinking back to it.”
With a barn venue like Coronation Hall, it would have been easy to go the rustic route, but these cuties wanted something different and recruited their pal Jess, of She Wore Daisy pulled together the perfect theme. “We wanted to have a stand up canapés style reception, and really just throw a party.” Says Megan. Jess sourced amazing furniture from Hampton Event Hire and we created a modern, bright and festive feel for the hall.”
