Gemma & Tin’s Matakana Wedding at The Stables
When it comes to New Year’s day hangovers, Tin and Gemma reckon they have the perfect cure, an engagement! After deciding that he couldn’t wait until their anniversary in February, Tin popped the question on the first day of 2016. Captured by Erica Jane and styled by Nouba faves Two Foxes, the Auckland locals tied the knot on at The Stables Restaurant, surrounded by the rolling hills and vineyards of Matakana.
Two Foxes worked their styling magic, with burgundy, green and blush colour palette and marble and copper accents throughout. The bride shares, “I generally had the idea of what we wanted then the fabulous Two Foxes Styling duo pulled our vision together perfectly! Everything from start to finish was great, and the end product was even more gorgeous then what we had imagined.”
After their heartfelt ceremony on the lawns of The Stables in front of a geometric arch (fashioned by the groom, no less!) guests headed inside to the restaurant which was decked out with long banquet tables, adorned with blooms and softly lit with candles. Even their stunning cake from Auckland baker, Sweet Bites was solidly on theme, with a marble and copper finish. “We were worried with it looking so good it might not taste it… but it was yum! Lovely and moist and the flavours were fab – Pineapple Lump, Choc Mud and White choc Manuka honey!”
