You only have to flick through these frames by Katie Harmsworth to feel the joy surrounding Pamela and Julio at their relaxed Melbourne wedding.
Encompassing their favourite local haunts, this pair chose Carlton Gardens to say ‘I do’ and celebrated at neighbouring restaurant, Epocha. “We chose Epocha because it was true to what we enjoy most – amazing food and and fantastic wine,” says Pamela. “The restaurant was across the road from the ceremony so it was easy for the guests to stroll across and head in for a glass of bubbles.”
Having met at uni, Pamela and Julio got engaged 4 years ago during a trip to India. Julio organised an overnight house boat to cruise along the Alleppey Kerala backwaters and Pamela had no idea what was to come. “As I kept on missing the cues, and the sunset wasn’t able to wait Julio sat next to me on the cane chair and asked me to marry him. The funniest thing was I had been caught so off guard that the first thing I said was ‘Are you sure?’” Of course this was quickly followed by a “yes”!
The couple’s advice to other brides and grooms is to ensure that on the day of the wedding nothing gets in the way of having fun. “Make sure you have delegated some tasks to others. People are always happy to help you on your day.”
