Monique & Benjamin’s Modern DIY Wedding
Monique and Benjamin kept things relaxed with a wedding close to home in Brisbane. Kait Photography captured the earthy setting, with the ceremony taking place at a quaint hall in Pullenvale, followed by the reception in a friend’s rustic barn.
And it was in this very barn that Benjamin decided to propose to Monique, adorning it with fairy lights, candles and even setting up a scrumptious picnic – he knew better than to let Monique get hangry before he popped the question!
It must have been wedding season with this couple’s crowd as the bride’s best friend was getting married within just two months of Monique and Ben. Despite the mild Bride Wars sitch, it actually worked in both brides’ favour, as they ended up sharing a lot of elements such as crockery, glassware and cutlery. Result!
Everything down to the tables, invitations, napkins and even signage was handmade by the couple and their friends. That’s one helluva wedding squad! We always admire a couple who take the DIY approach.
